Who Are You?
Congratulations, if you are reading this you are alive! You woke up this morning faced with all kinds of choices…. What are your thoughts? What is the narrative you believe about yourself? What will you eat? What is your mood? Where will you show up or not show up? How will you dress? What phone calls will you make, and which ones will you decide to answer? Who do you get to hug? Who do you get the pleasure of saying I Love You to?
Or do your choices look more like this, why is this happening to me? When will I get through this challenge? I can barely think, eat or sleep? How did I get to this place? Where is everyone that I thought would be there for me? How am I going to make it through?
For few embracing the day it is pure joy, excitement and passion, but for many it is a real struggle. Feeling overwhelmed and heavily burdened with daily tasks and decisions that lies ahead can seem like a load that has been carried for so long that it seems to get heavier and heavier with the age. They may be asking themselves, why? Or even better, what is their why? What is my reason for getting out of bed today? What will bring me excitement? What will make me feel accomplished and fulfilled? What was I designed for?
If we don’t discover who we are and what we were made to do, someone will tell us who they need us to be. It is your time to define your why? What am I feeling led to accomplish? What are your feeling thinking about if you were to accomplish that very thing?
Close your eyes and imagine that thing coming to pass. How would you feel internally about that accomplishment? What is the setting you’re in? What might you be wearing? Is there recognition associated with this accomplishment? What senses do you feel exploring that setting? What emotions does this evoke on you? What might people be saying to you? How does this thing bring change to the world? What might scare you about this? What kinds of platforms and doors does this open for you?
Now imagine if my life stays the way it is and I’m on my deathbed, what kind of regret will I have for not accomplishing? How will I feel knowing it is too late? How will it make me feel not touching all the lives that were attached to this accomplishment?
It is never too late to accomplish our dreams. Joseph from the bible was given a dream and for 22 years it did not come to pass. He was rejected, sold into slavery, became a prisoner all before his dream that was given to him by God ever manifested in reality. It is never too late for that dream that God put in you to come to pass. No matter what has taken place in your life, it time to resurrect that hope the dream will come about in your life. Start walking in that direction and watch what comes about!
I believe in you and all your called to do and accomplish! Have a beautiful day and be blessed!
